The Life Works Here initiative is offering potential residents $10,000 to relocate to Northwest Arkansas. You will also receive a street or mountain bike to help you navigate the area’s 162 miles of paved trails and 322 miles of mountain biking trails.
If you have no use for the bike, you can opt to receive an annual membership to a local cultural institution instead, such as the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
The Northwest Arkansas Council, which created the Life Works Here initiative, is investing $1 million into the program to attract top talent to the area.
Alongside the outdoor lifestyle opportunities and nationally-ranked arts and culture scene, candidates for the program can take advantage of the 10,000+ job openings in Northwest Arkansas, and a per capita income that is 14% higher than the national average.
“Right now we know a lot of people are re-evaluating their priorities and their lifestyle. We are seizing the opportunity to capture attention at this time when many employers have extended work from home opportunities and employees — knowing they can work from anywhere — are reconsidering where they are living and what they are prioritizing,” said Nelson Peacock, President and CEO of the Northwest Arkansas Council.
