Joe Biden is not used to the media asking him difficult questions.
Virtually all of the press corps are Democrat activists who worship Biden.
But Joe Biden blew his top when Fox News confronted him with this question.
As Joe Biden wrapped up a press conference after a disastrous summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reporters excluded from Biden handlers’ pre-approved list began shouting questions.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy – as usual – was not on the approved list of reporters allowed to ask an official question.
As Biden was leaving the stage he forgot his handlers’ instructions not to take unapproved questions and called on Doocy who asked Biden whether or not he would ask his “old friend” Chinese President Xi Jingping to get access to the Wuhan Institute of Virology so the world could settle the question of if the coronavirus outbreak originated in a lab accident.
“You keep saying there’s no substitute for face-to-face dialogue, and also with what you said at NATO, the biggest problems right now are Russia and China. You have spoken many times about how you have spent perhaps more time with President Xi than any other world leader,” Doocy stated, “So is there going to be – come a time where you might call him, old friend to old friend, and ask him to open up China to the World Health Organization investigators who are trying to get to the bottom of COVID-19?”
Biden snapped at Doocy claiming President Xi – who Biden previously bragged about spending more time with than any world leader – was not his “old friend.”
“Let’s get something straight. We know each other well, we’re not old friends,” Biden fumed. “It’s just pure business.”
Biden’s answer was revealing in one big respect.
Joe Biden has no plan to pressure China to allow a real investigation into the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and Biden has no plan to hold China accountable if an investigation found the lab leak was the origin of the coronavirus pandemic.
