Democrats were hoping after they sent 73 lawyers to Arizona that they would be able to stop the Maricopa County, Arizona election audit. Instead their bullying tactics has backfired and the audit is expanding.
One week into the audit, former Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett gave an update that the the project is headed into “phase two.”
Previously, Democrats attempted to block the audit once it begun however wouldn’t pony up the money to cover the money to pause the project.
The Arizona Senate hired the Florida firm, Cyber Ninjas to lead the audit leasing the Veterans Memorial Coliseum through May 14th however, Bennett announced that there is “no deadline” for the audit and it will take at least 60 days.
Bennett announced that the audit will pause for a week at the Coliseum for an event but then will begin a deep dive examining their findings. Democrats worst nightmare was realized after Bennett informed reporters that the state fair officials gave auditors permission to use the coliseum “for as long as we need it.”
From the Washington Examiner:
Organizers are planning to increase the number of hand counters, gaining staff from temp agencies, and jump from 20 counting tables to 46 tables by May 3. The change would more than double the number of counters from 60 to 138 per shift.
“All of the forensic data has been captured off of those machines, and now they’ll move into phase two, which is analyzing that data,” Bennett said.
Recently, rhino Republican Cindy McCain called the audit “ludicrous” however, she and the Democrats have so far failed to stop it.
Democrat Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs said that “my concerns about the reliability of this so-called audit are valid.” However, GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward called Hobbs out for not sending observers to monitor the audit.
The hand recount will not change the results of the election because officials have already certified the results. Republican Arizona Senate President Karen Fann has maintained that the audit is to restore faith in the election system.
Democrats tell us to trust the system so why do they fear the audit?
