Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf (D) is facing a vote during municipal primary elections that could strip him of emergency powers.
On May 18, two questions one the ballot directly relate to the power Wolf and future governors.
One of those questions asks if the state constitution should be amended to “Shall the Pennsylvania Constitution be amended to change existing law so that: a disaster emergency declaration will expire automatically after 21 days, regardless of the severity of the emergency, unless the General Assembly takes action to extend the disaster emergency; the Governor may not declare a new disaster emergency to respond to the dangers facing the Commonwealth unless the General Assembly passes a concurrent resolution; the General Assembly enacts new laws for disaster management?”
The goal of the amendment is to require the governor to get approval of the legislator 21 days after an emergency declaration is made.
Throughout the pandemic Wolf has been able to extended his emergency declaration because there were no limits placed on him. Wolf has been able to extend and create restrictions with NO oversight.
Now the people of Pennsylvania will get to decide if they wish to put limits on Wolf and future governors.
Knowing the vote is less than 15 days away Wolf is trying to whoo voters and announced that all coronavirus restrictions will be removed on Memorial Day and once 70% of all Pennsylvania’s are vaccinated he will remove the mask mandate.
Effective May 31, we are lifting COVID mitigation orders.
The masking order will be lifted when 70% of Pennsylvania adults are fully vaccinated.

Wolf earned the nickname “Commie Tommy” because he imposed strict lockdowns in March 2020 and hasn’t let up.
Wolf is clueless thinking his carrot on a stick is going to stop voters from putting limits on emergency orders. The vote isn’t just about Wolf, it’s about making sure that future governors are kept in check as well.
