CNN declared war on Donald Trump and his supporters.
They’ve enlisted powerful allies in this crusade.
And now CNN is shaking in fear about what this lawsuit might reveal about the network.
Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe dropped a series of bombshell undercover videos where CNN technical director Charlie Chester made a series of confessions about the true nature of CNN.
Chester admitted that CNN fabricated “propaganda” stories to attack Donald Trump because everything CNN put on the air was designed to remove Donald Trump from office.
The videos also showed Chester explaining that CNN featured the coronavirus death count because fear drove ratings, and that the network suppressed news damaging to the Black Lives Matter movement.
After O’Keefe’s videos exposing CNN went viral on social media, Twitter censored them by suspending O’Keefe’s and Project Veritas’ accounts.
Twitter claimed in a statement to Mediaite that O’Keefe “was permanently suspended for violating the Twitter Rules on platform manipulation and spam.”
“As outlined in our policy on platform manipulation and spam, ‘You can’t mislead others on Twitter by operating fake accounts,’ and ‘you can’t artificially amplify or disrupt conversations through the use of multiple accounts,’” the statement added.
O’Keefe responded that he would sue Twitter for defamation stating that he never operated an account other than his own.
“I am suing Twitter for defamation because they said I, James O’Keefe, ‘operated fake accounts.’ This is false, this is defamatory, and they will pay. Section 230 may have protected them before, but it will not protect them from me. The complaint will be filed Monday,” O’Keefe’s statement read.
Twitter suspending O’Keefe was about as clear an example of ideological, content-based censorship as can be.
O’Keefe’s lawsuit could enter the discovery phase, which would allow O’Keefe access to documents and records that would show if people at CNN colluded with executives at Twitter to censor their critics, or to see if Twitter acted internally to censor the account of a journalist attacking one of Twitter’s allies on the Left.
